Are You Recreating the Family of Origin Relationships in Business?

Would you be surprised if I told you that some of the business relationships you have now are stemming from family of origin relationships? Probably.

Have a look at the people you have on your team, business partnerships, collaborations and check for similarities. Even the relationships you have with your clients mimic the family of origin patterns.

Is this good or bad, you ask? It depends.

If you have inner peace and you move through the business interactions with ease and grace, then it is good. No further action required.

If you have people who trigger you and you become angry, anxious, restless, or feel misunderstood, or deflated that this is a clear indication that there might be unresolved past issues from your family of origin. This could be the relationship you had with your mother, father, brother, sister, grandparent or even a teacher or the school bully.

Why do we enter relationships with people who have similar traits with a family of origin member we had difficulty with? Well, because we tend to want to resolve unresolved issues and we re-create them until we do. We recreate them so we understand and learn what we need to learn and elevate our level of consciousness as a result.

Check if this is true for you. Bring to mind someone you have difficulty with. What is bothering you about this person? Who from your family of origin is this person reminding you of?

Let me know in the comments if you discovered a connection.
